Sick
Ian Haig
The drawings in Sick are not drawings of sick people, but rather drawings of sickness, bodily mutations, mutilations, and human transformations. After all sickness and disease is the ultimate subjective transformative state, your body literally becomes an other. Sick is therefore about that other.
The gallery is like a hospital, the white washed walls, the halogen lights, the hushed tones and vacant contemplation, like a sterile hospital ward.
If the gallery is a hospital then art and artists are the diseased, sick and injured. The whole idea of making art is indeed a kind of pathology.
Creativity a form of sickness, art as a disease.

Doubt
Simon Horsburgh, Louise Hubbard, Sanja Pahoki, Kiron Robinson, Lani Seligman and Teddy Wu Kwok
Doubt knows where I hide the spare key.
Doubt brings together the work of six artists who actively negotiate the condition of doubt within their creative practice. It is a celebration of the ‘dubious proposition’ in art making; of conjecture, flux and possibility.
The project does not seek to examine doubt as a concept. Rather, the artists involved have developed a group of works extending from a shared methodology, and in consideration of the ways in which doubt has become embedded and manifest in the continuum of their practice. Consequently, the artists have not only explored their own personal and creative relationships with doubt, but located integral points of convergence and departure in the work of one another.
